Instant Meet for Slack requires certain permissions to function correctly. Below are the necessary permissions and the reasons for why they are needed:

View email addresses of people in a workspace: This scope is necessary to access the user's email address in
order to send a Google Calendar meeting
invitation.

a workspace: This scope is only needed as a dependency for the users:read.email
scope, as the
user's email is the unique field required.
commands
Add shortcuts and/or slash commands
that people can use: This scope is required to execute the /meet
command and create
an instant meeting.
channels:read
View basic information
about public channels in a workspace: This scope is needed to identify the members of the public
channels with whom you want to share the meeting room.
groups:read
View basic information about
a user’s private channels: This scope is necessary to identify the members of the private
channels with whom you want to share the meeting room.
im:read
View basic information about a user’s
direct messages: This scope is required to identify the members of the direct
messages with whom you want to share the meeting room.
mpim:read
View basic information about a
user’s group direct messages: This scope is needed to identify the members of the group
direct messages with whom you want to share the meeting room.
/auth/calendar.events.owned
This permission is necessary to create events in the user's calendar when launching the
/meet
command.
