# Instant Meet

> Instant Meet is a free Slack app that creates Google Meet video calls and Google Calendar events directly from Slack using the /meet, /meeting, and /event commands.

Instant Meet lets teams start a Google Meet call without leaving Slack. Running /meet in a public channel, private channel, group, or direct message creates a Google Meet link, posts it in the channel, creates a 15-minute Google Calendar event, and invites all members of that channel, group, or DM. Users can optionally enable automatic titles in Settings so meetings launched without a title are named after the Slack channel instead of "Instant meeting".
